Bathroom Tiling Guildford

Bathroom tilers in Guildford covering porcelain, ceramic, natural stone and mosaic — precise setting out, full waterproofing before a single tile goes down, and finishing detail that stays sharp for years, not just for the first inspection.

Where craftsmanship shows

Tiling is what separates a good bathroom from a great one.

Tiling is the most visible part of any bathroom, and the trade where shortcuts show up soonest and stay visible longest. Level tiles, straight grout lines, mitred external corners, cleanly sealed penetrations — these details are the difference between a bathroom that feels calm and one that always feels slightly off. Our bathroom tilers in Guildford treat every wall as if it were their own.

  • Porcelain, ceramic, natural stone and mosaic wall and floor tiles
  • Large-format tiling with levelling systems on every install
  • Feature walls, herringbone floors and mitred external corners
  • Full bonded waterproofing under every tiled wet area
  • Correct grout and silicone choice for the tile and environment
  • Natural stone sealed before grouting and again on completion

What we cover

What we tile.

01

Porcelain tiling

The most versatile and durable option — from marble-effect large format to slim brick tiles.

02

Ceramic tiling

A cost-effective, high-quality choice for walls, with a wide range of colours, finishes and formats.

03

Natural stone

Marble, travertine and limestone, sealed and finished so they still look right long-term.

04

Feature walls

A single statement wall behind the bath or in the shower is one of the highest-impact decisions you can make.

05

Preparation & waterproofing

Wall preparation, boarding where needed and full tanking of shower areas before any tile goes on.

06

Floors & underfloor heating

Correct floor build-ups over underfloor heating, decoupling membranes and properly placed movement joints.

Choosing the right tile for the room

Tile choice is as much a design decision as a practical one, and it's something we help with as part of our bathroom design service. Large-format porcelain calms a small room down; smaller formats and mosaics suit niches, curves and feature areas; natural stone brings character but needs sealing and a little care. Floor tiles need a genuine slip-resistance rating for wet areas, and the tile size should suit the fall in a wet room so the drain can be formed cleanly.

We tile as part of every bathroom installation and refit we carry out, and we also take on standalone bathroom tiling around Guildford and Merrow where the preparation and waterproofing can be brought up to a standard we're happy to guarantee.

The process

From first call to final walk-through.

  1. 01

    Consultation

We come out to your home in Guildford or one of the nearby villages, see how the room gets used day to day, take proper measurements and talk honestly about what's not working.

  2. 02

    Design

You get a workable layout with sanitaryware, tile and storage suggestions and, where useful, a 3D visual so you know what the finished room will look like before a tile is ordered.

  3. 03

    Quotation

An itemised written quote setting out labour, materials, timescales and preparation work — clear and fixed before anything starts.

  4. 04

    Installation

Your team fits the bathroom with dust sheets down, a clean-down at the end of every day and regular updates — typically two to three weeks on site.

  5. 05

    Final inspection

A thorough walk-through, snagging, aftercare advice and a written workmanship guarantee — and we're still contactable afterwards if you need us.

Our upstairs bathroom was an odd shape and we had no idea how to make it work. The designer came back with a layout we'd never have pictured ourselves, then the same team carried out the installation. Having one company handle both stages meant nothing got lost in translation, and the finished room matches the drawings exactly.

Nothing in our bathroom had been touched since we bought the house. The team moved the shower, fitted a double vanity and the room now feels twice the size it was. Tidy, punctual and the final invoice matched the quote exactly, which made a nice change.

We were wary of putting a wet room upstairs, but the tanking and drainage were explained properly before any work began. It's completely watertight, the tiling is spot on and the finished floor drains beautifully. Couldn't fault the attention to detail.

New ensuite off our loft bedroom. It's a small footprint, but the layout makes it feel far more generous than it should. Work finished a day ahead of schedule with just two minor snags, both sorted within the week.

A full master bathroom with a freestanding bath, walk-in shower and stone finishes throughout. The quality of the finishing is superb — mitred corners, dead-level floors, every silicone line dead straight. They were also honest about where to spend the budget and where it wasn't worth it, which we really valued.

A cramped bathroom that never really worked for our family. It's been redesigned around wall-hung fittings, a walk-in shower and a big mirror, and it feels like an entirely different room now. Over a decade doing this clearly shows — nothing seemed to faze them.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Porcelain is denser, more water-resistant and better suited to floors and heavily used wet zones. Ceramic is a fine choice for walls and gives a wider colour and finish range for less money. We'll advise per project.
